TotalEmbedded finds its roots in a consulting company formed in 1995 by
Jason Riffel in the Seattle area providing on site engineering resources.
After several years of providing services at customer facilities, the
company grew into a small outsourcing agency performing much of its work at
its own facility.
While operating business in the Seattle area, the company gained a reputation
for getting it done right the first time with a natural ability to excel
under intense pressure and timelines. Experiences ranged from general
engineering services, project recovery, high visibility projects, secret
projects, business ventures, and even business mergers.
Recognizing an obvious shift in the marketplace for outsourcing at the end of
the 1990s, the focus of the company changed to put an emphasis on business
level ventures while maintaining the staple of providing engineering services.
The location of the operation changed to the Washington D.C. area where
we have been involved in several startup companies, defense industry projects,
and continued engineering services.
At the end of 2003 the company added increased leadership by adding Robert
Anderson as a principle to the operation changing the company from individually
owned to a true partnership.
